Great, handy location , Drayton manor park, Kingsbury Water Park, The Zoo all a stones throw away , secure safe & spotlessly clean
The biggest problem with this place is the owners, I am led to believe they are gypsies! This may or may not be true, however, their treatment of paying guests leaves an awful lot to be desired, all they want is your cash and you don't get any back, regardless of whether its their fault! It operates as a holiday destination but is mostly a full time community of Highway Contractors and HS2 Contractors with ugly signed vans and various plant/diggers on trailers at times! This and people who have lived there for many years! The place is littered with broken and dishevelled caravans with filthy and torn awnings! Traffic noise is a major problem as it is directly adjacent to a main route for Petrol Tankers 24/7 making it no place for light sleepers! The many unfair rules can make enjoyment of your stay very hard! Though your children can ride their bikes against the one way and risk getting hit by the speeding drivers who couldn't give a damn! It is a place you'd go when there was nowhere else in my opinion being poor value for money, when just down the road is a proper 'Holiday' Camping and caravan club site, which is actually a cheaper option and you are actually made to feel welcome! This is just my opinion based on a very expensive and unpleasant seven month experience, as one of the many visitors, who keep the place financed & just needed a place to stay for awhile, it was no holiday! Leaving Lee Marston camp site again, was the only pleasure I gained from actually arriving! . If you like being ripped off and abused, then this is the place for you!!! In rain the place becomes a massive puddle, as it has no proper drainage! Oh and one last thing, the electric hook ups often don't work so you can spend hours erecting the awning, only to have to move pitch! Good fun eh? The site operates a Cash Only payment system, 'form your own opinions with regards to that' and a "No Refunds" policy! So if you have paid and have to leave, you lose 'ALL' your money! Edit: I discovered this, because the owners read this review and I was instantly given one hour to leave the site and the thieves kept the weeks rent I had paid a day previous! They do say that the Truth hurts and their action merely reinforced my opinion shared above! Save your peace of mind and money! Just go to the nest island and turn left, towards No-Mans Heath, turn right 400yds before you get to the hump back bridge and follow it into the woods! Why are they so mean when it is easier to be nice?
Good site 10 miles from the NEC. Great dog walking at water park. Friendly manager, really nice lady, very helpful. Will return!
Ignore all past reviews. New management are amazing, their is now a shop, they have read all reviews and have turned the site around. It is family friendly and The showers and toilets are spotless. It's just what the site needed. Cannot believe the improvement in six weeks. I'll be back.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Very quiet location & although it appears very close to the motorway network, you would never know it. Toilets & showers were immaculate.
