Small train station, not much else to say.
It's been done up recently and actually looks quite nice now. There's even benches on the platforms now!It still has a couple of issues though:1. The ticket office and warm shelter is rarely open. There is basically no shelter on platform 1 because they have to lock up when employees absent.2. There's a new sneaky fining system in place, which would be fine if the signs weren't tiny. Don't think you can get away with parking in odd places that are perfectly out of the way of people anymore. Be careful and read the small print.
Fabulous little station. Note. the ticket office is not open all of the time that trains are running. Use the ticket machine
Ticket office is mostly always closed, and when open someone's never there, or round the back doing something. Almost made me miss my train several times waiting for someone, until I eventually found the ticket machine that isn't signposted as outside the building
This used to be my local station about 25 years ago. As we now live nearer to Blake Street, went for a walk to see if it had changed much. Didn't look any different - but did remind me how picturesque it is, with almost a country station feel.
