Room was very outdated.bed very old and uncomfortable. Lots of stairs and 2 lifts to the room , really not good for disabled or elderly , sparse , restaurant food was good. Breakfast was good , give the juice a miss ,from a machine,, not nice, the pool and steam rooms was nice , but can't get in the Jacuzzi as regulars sat in there constantly . Manager not helpful , would not return , electrics in room not been pat tested since 2016 ..............
Incredibly rude staff. Never booking there again.Their online policy says that the check in is from 2:00PM, I called to check if the room is available sooner, an incredibly rude member of the staff answered the phone telling me thay there is no guarantee that the room will be ready before 3:00PM!He couldn't be bothered to provide any kind of help! Absolutely disgusting! Considering how much they charge for a room I would expect at least a decent customer service!
Bar is insanely overpriced here, Beck's Blue, (Alcohol Free) is 4.10!!!! Room are basic but decent, currently under upgrade. Car park is large. Hotel is quiet.
Went to Sunday Christmas party night. It was not good. Nothing Christmassy to greet you on way in. No photographers. No table decorations (there was a cracker). The reception room smelt of sweaty feet. In front of the bar area it smelt of sick. No singing, even though song sheets were on the table. All in all pretty disappointing. On the positive side, bar staff were efficient.
The reviews are all very harsh. I think I must have stayed in the renovated section. Pleasant stay, great and plentiful breakfast and no issues with cleanliness at all. Great to have free access to the gym and pool facilities. Friendly staff, especially at Breakfast! Would stay here again.
