A lovely pub, great for sport, open fire, home brewed beer and lager as well as a great selection of other drinks. Food menu is reasonably priced and varied. Staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. The drinks menu tells you about each beer and the home brews are all named after some kind of local connection. Food deals on for sport days and a large screen. The rest of the venue still plays music for those not liking the sport.
Excellent IPA and v good steak sandwich, though the latter was tad small for the money I thought. I'll add the half price chips next time.
Too quirky. If you like a varied real ale pub and not normal run of the mill drinks this is right up your street. But on a pub crawl I'd steer clear, live music was good but seemed to be on repeat.

I came to the 2 hour beer tasting session last Saturday with my son. It was absolutely excellent. Very well hosted by Adrian who showed a passion and knowledge for the subject whilst dealing confidently with us as customers. He introduced us to the head brewer Harry who was equally pleasant and informative. I have recommended this experience to friends and family. Thank you.
